Requirements
- Apprentices must commit to fulltime employment with Brose for two years upon completion of the program.
Nice To Haves
- The program begins at $16/hour during work rotations, with a $1/hour increase each year throughout the three-year apprenticeship.
- Tuition for the associate degree is fully covered, and apprentices receive a $200 weekly stipend during the weeks they attend school.
Responsibilities
- Develop skills to be able to understand Preventative/Predictive Maintenance procedures and best practices at New Boston plant location or Jefferson plant location.
- Develop skills to be able to fabricate parts from raw material.
- Develop skills to be able to draw/design simple pneumatic systems, and follow pneumatic schematics of complex machines/assembly lines.
- Develop skills to be able to draw/design simple electronic systems, and follow electronic schematics of complex machines/assembly lines.
- Develop skills to be able to program/design simple PLC programs, and follow existing PLC programs of complex machines/assembly lines.
- Develop skills to be able to program simple ABB robot programs, and follow existing ABB robot programs of complex machines/assembly lines.
- Complete guided training program lead by Technical Trainer.
- Learn basics of mechatronics, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Finish the program at an entry level of “Technician” role at Brose with successful completion of the IHK/PAL Examinations.
- Upon completion of program, Apprentices must commit to fulltime employment with Brose for two years.
