About The Position

Under close supervision, employee will perform entry-level tasks for electrical or mechanical repairs, and preventative maintenance activities. Employee should understand, and be able to perform various technical tasks related to maintenance and repair of equipment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated skills through work experience acceptable.
0 – 2 years of experience.
Basic computer skills helpful in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook.
Understanding of SAP helpful.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment with different personality & cultural traits.
Safety conscious.
Dependability.
Shift flexibility to assist with business needs, coverage for vacations and/or illness related absences.
Demonstrates competencies with Accountability, Interpersonal skills, and Reliability.

Nice To Haves

Certificate or degree in the discipline of Electro-Mechanical Technologies preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform entry-level tasks for electrical or mechanical repairs, and preventative maintenance activities.
Understand and follow established protocol for Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Understand and properly interpret Arc Flash/Shock Hazard labels.
Understand availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow established guidelines for use (e.g., FR rated garments, insulating gloves, Helmet/Face Shield, Arc Flash rated garments, Safety glasses, portable GFCI plug device).
Consistently utilize all functional aspects of Computerized Maintenance Management Software/SAP per Work Instruction.
Understand principles of operation for Multi-Meter Test Instruments and make measurements.
Understand proper use and limitations of Non-Contact Voltage Testers (Inductance Testers).
Understand operating voltage levels and general arrangement of facility power distribution.
Properly use common hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, torque wrenches).
Have knowledge of the two basic pump types (Centrifugal & Positive Displacement), their differences in performance and sub-types.
Perform calibration/geometric alignment of equipment with 2-axis interpolation.
Possess advanced knowledge of schematic interpretation and system integration for Fluid Power Systems for fault-finding, repair facilitation, and P.M. events.
Possess advanced knowledge of schematic interpretation and system integration for Pneumatic Systems for fault-finding, repair facilitation, and P.M. events.
Understand plain bearing (sliding) linear guide systems, varying types, dimensioning relationships, and perform gib adjustments, replacement, and alignment.
Understand the fundamentals of rolling element linear guide designs and perform replacement and alignment.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of design and integration of mechanical assemblies for fault-finding, repair facilitation, and P.M. events (e.g., bearings, ball screws, fluid pumps, clutch systems, and linear-motion support systems).
Perform scheduled P.M. and PdM events and act proactively to initiate and/or facilitate corrective measures.
