About The Position

Perform all maintenance mechanic operations to ensure continual operation of equipment and facility. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of manual and automated machinery, including CNC lathes, millers, saws, grinding, and honing equipment. The position also requires responding to emergency breakdowns, inspecting equipment for potential issues, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Additionally, the role involves contributing to process improvements, fostering teamwork, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 4-6 years of Manufacturing experience
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of manual and automated machinery, including CNC lathes, millers, saws, grinding, and honing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, equipment manuals, and work orders.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, measuring devices, and precision instruments; ability to calibrate instruments as required.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems as they relate to equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Proficient in basic mathematics needed for measurement, calibration, and equipment setup.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills to evaluate equipment conditions and diagnose root causes of failures.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and quality standards.
• Ability to perform thorough inspections and identify potential issues that could lead to breakdowns or unsafe conditions.
• Effective communication skills, including speaking, questioning, listening, and documenting maintenance activities and work orders.
• Dependable and results‑oriented, with a strong sense of initiative and follow‑through.

Responsibilities

• Act as a troubleshooter and repair equipment and building utilities. Resolve problems or refer problems to appropriate individual.
• Perform preventive maintenance with work orders on manual and automated machinery, including CNC lathes, millers, saws, grinding, and honing equipment.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns of equipment to keep production loss to a minimum.
• Inspect equipment to evaluate conditions that could lead to production breakdowns or unsafe conditions. Report problems to supervision.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
• Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.
• Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in training/learning other positions. Accomplish related results as needed.
