You’ll champion LOTO and safe practices, pull equipment for service when needed, perform preventive maintenance, and secure parts to cut downtime. You’ll communicate across shifts, log issues, keep an organized shop, and respond to safety warnings. Punctuality and flexibility for overtime/occasional shift coverage required—stay engaged in safety meetings and pitch in on other projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain current OSHA Certified Industrial Truck Operator License.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience working with a variety of mechanical equipment in a heavy industrial environment.
  • PLC experience is required.
  • Automated technician experience required.
  • Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
  • Accurately count and perform basic math functions, including mental calculation of simple equations and/or fractions.
  • Must be able to sufficiently read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Champion safe work every day—follow and coach lockout/tagout (LOTO).
  • Spot issues early and decide when to pull equipment for repair to minimize downtime.
  • Perform scheduled and on-demand preventive maintenance to keep lines running.
  • Requisition and track parts and materials, so teams have what they need.
  • Act quickly on safety warnings and signals; take corrective action.
  • Keep operations connected by communicating across shifts and documenting in Maintenance and Production logbooks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized maintenance area; store tools and supplies before breaks and at shift end.
  • Be dependable: arrive on time, work required hours including mandatory overtime and occasionally cover other shifts.
  • Stay current on plant and safety updates; participate in meetings and trainings.
  • Pitch in on other duties and projects as needed.
  • Drive the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.
