The Maintenance Mechanic will install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s mechanical/electrical equipment. This role involves performing highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility’s electrical equipment. The mechanic will plan, layout, install, and repair a wide variety of complex electrical equipment, including control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, and electronic controls. Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, detecting and replacing defective control modules, and making necessary adjustments. The role also entails performing regular preventive maintenance on machines and plant facilities, such as air compressors, lighting systems, cranes, welding machines, and other fabrication equipment. Additionally, the Maintenance Mechanic will perform various plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry functions, using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and materials handling equipment. The position requires the ability to build and wire electrical circuits for industrial applications and read blueprints. Key tasks include detecting faulty operations and defective materials, reporting unusual situations, complying with safety regulations, maintaining clean work areas, and interpreting engineering blueprints. Servicing and maintaining equipment like motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment is also a core function. The role involves inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical breakdowns, using hand and machine tools, and removing/replacing parts for repairs or upgrades. Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks, communicating with supervisors and the production team, and preparing maintenance reports using CMM software are also part of the job. Other tasks as assigned by TAS are also included.
