About The Position
De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (DHC) is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Maintenance Mechanic to join their manufacturing team in Sidney, BC. Requirements
- Canadian provincial or inter-provincial applicable ticket such as Millwright, Electrician, Carpenter, Plumber, Pipefitter, etc., or equivalent ticket from another country.
- Able to safely set up and operate shop equipment
- Ability to work safely with limited supervision
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing operation is preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift and perform carpentry work is preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain all Company equipment and building maintenance activities
- Manage recycle materials and liquid waste
- Contact and direct outside contractors when necessary
- Plan, implement, and review a preventative Maintenance Program for the company
- Janitorial and shop clean up work as required
