The Maintenance Mechanic at our Baldwin, WI location is responsible for a variety of mechanical maintenance of the equipment and facility. This is a 2nd shift onsite role, with hours from 3:15 pm - 1:15 am.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate ability to:
  • 2-year degree in industrial mechanical technology or related field, and/or 4-year apprenticeship in industrial maintenance discipline, and/or 5-7 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or related field, and/or Minimum 5 years’ experience working in industrial maintenance or related field, and/or Combination of the above qualifications to total 5 years.
  • Combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience reading prints, assembling products, one year welding.
  • Must be familiar with metal fabrication equipment, welding equipment, painting equipment, hoists, cranes, and others as identified
  • Maintain a positive work attitude
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (maintenance management software)
  • Work with limited supervision and produce product with limited or incomplete information.
  • Apply basic understanding of lean concepts, wiring and/or maintenance, sheet metal fabrication, paint skills.
  • Remain flexible when priorities and deadlines change rapidly, have excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team moving towards a common goal.
  • Maintains a pattern of regular and predictable attendance.
  • Open for advancement opportunities including supervision
  • Weld and forklift Certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of mechanical and facilities maintenance work.
  • Maintain structures, production equipment, HVAC, boilers, compressors, plumbing, jib/cranes/hoists, and material handling equipment.
  • Perform inspections, preventative, predictive, and repair work.
  • Perform all aspects of machine installations, including rigging, moving, assembling, leveling, and alignment work according to prints and specifications.
  • Coordinates and performs design and fabrication work to support plant needs.
  • Perform a wide variety of electrical/electronic maintenance work throughout the facility, including maintaining and repairing electrical distribution, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Complete departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Obtain bids, costs, and present solutions with options/costs.
  • Complies with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Research and develop preventative maintenance schedule of new equipment and modify existing preventative maintenance schedule of existing equipment.
