About The Position

Cedarbrook Senior Care & Rehab is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Mechanic for its Skilled Nursing Facility in Fountain Hill. This is a part-time position with 32 hours per week, requiring work every other weekend and holiday rotation. The hours are flexible. This position is not benefit-eligible.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of principles, practices, methods, and techniques commonly employed in mechanical & structural maintenance repair and repair work.
• Thorough knowledge of tools, materials, and safety precautions of mechanical & structural maintenance & repair work.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles of various sizes, maintenance and construction equipment.
• Ability to determine time, materials, equipment required to complete assigned jobs.
• Ability to instruct & oversee the efforts of other personnel.
• Ability to understand & follow oral & written instructions.
• Ability to keep record of activities.
• Ability to lift, carry & maneuver into position of variety of heavy and/or unwieldy tools & materials.
• Ability to work in close proximity to nursing facility patients, families & visitors, if required by work assignment.
• Must have full use of hands.
• Ability to stand for extensive periods, bend, pull, push.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Education equivalent to completion of 12th grade.
• 2-3 years' experience in equipment & facility maintenance or repair work.
• Any equivalent combination of training & experience which has provided the knowledge, skills & abilities cited above.
• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the Commonwealth of PA.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical & structural maintenance and repair work.
