About The Position

Sika is seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics for its Roofing business in the Canton, Massachusetts area. The role is responsible for general facility maintenance during the assigned shift and reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The position supports office and manufacturing facilities, including heavy production machinery, and requires maintaining high quality while prioritizing Environment, Health & Safety. All shifts are currently being considered. A shift differential is offered: 10% for 12-hour day shifts and 20% for 12-hour night shifts.

Requirements

• High school degree.
• At least 5 years of industrial mechanical experience in a production environment.
• Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
• Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders and controls.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift certification.
• Extrusion and sheet line experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general office and manufacturing maintenance.
• Lubricate and change oil in heavy production machinery.
• Repair or replace bearings, gear-heads, belts, chains, conveyors, filters, and related equipment.
• Modify existing structural components as needed to comply with safety regulations and support cost-saving measures.
• Perform duties while maintaining high quality and considering Environment, Health & Safety.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the manager.
