About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic I makes an impact by – Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Ability to repair equipment during breakdowns. Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work orders to plan, layout and complete work. Use tools ranging from common hand tools and power tools, such as hammers, saws, drills and wrenches to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic devices. Inspect, operate, or test faulty machinery or equipment. Basic ability to inspect or test programmable controllers and motors to diagnose machine malfunctions using voltmeters or other troubleshooting tools. Maintain accurate documentation of assignments, machine repairs, parts inventory utilizing the site CMMS. Work effectively with department and cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements that provide value to the customer. Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP), Plant Safety Regulations, Quality Control Standards and plant policies. Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000 Systems.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must work in a team environment
  • Maintain adherence to work hours scheduled specifically starting, ending, lunch and break schedules
  • Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines
  • Be accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
