About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join a fast-paced food manufacturing facility in Owasso. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of the plant.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required (technical/vocational training preferred)
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing or meat processing
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Experience with electrical systems, PLCs, and automated machinery is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in cold/humid environments

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on conveyors, grinders, slicers, packaging machines, refrigeration systems, and other processing equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Inspect, diagnose, and replace defective components to maintain optimal performance
• Conduct regular maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems to ensure proper temperature control
• Follow OSHA, USDA, FDA, and all regulatory safety requirements
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and repair records
• Collaborate with production and QA to resolve equipment issues impacting product quality
• Train production employees on proper machine operation and minor troubleshooting
• Adhere to GMPs, company policies, and safety guidelines
