About The Position

Maintains and repairs all conveyor, sortation, and related material handling equipment: heating; HVAC, simple plumbing and/or other specialized areas to ensure proper, safe, and efficient mechanical operations within the distribution center. Installs new or modifies existing equipment or systems. Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment to include motors, pumps, conveyers, hydraulics, mechanical control systems, power equipment, safety devices, or other specialized equipment. Examines parts and equipment to troubleshoot and perform repairs on simple plumbing, heating, etc. Inspects completed repairs or installations. Performs special projects or duties as assigned. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent plus vocational training in a related technical field
Proven knowledge and experience in one or more areas (welding, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
One to two years experience in Industrial Maintenance field with demonstrated preventative maintenance experience in material handling systems
Proven proficiency in one or more of the following areas: Welding/Fabrication, HVAC/Refrigeration, Plumbing, Hydraulics and Mechanical Drive Systems
Willingness to work various shifts to meet business needs
Ability to read and follow simple diagrams and instructions
Working knowledge of electricity and electrical components
Manipulation of parts and the use of various tools and repair equipment
Body positioning such as climbing and crawling under equipment or apparatus to repair, assemble or disassemble equipment
Tolerances and ability to work under adverse conditions
