Maintenance Mechanic
About The Position
Since 1975, Omega Flex has been supplying quality engineered flexible metal hose products that meet demanding industrial, commercial and residential applications. We currently have an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic with experience in a manufacturing environment at our Exton, PA facility. This roll will have a potential for raises at 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month evaluations, and then annually thereafter in accordance with our policies. Annual evaluations also have the potential for $500 bonus each year on your anniversary based on reliability/performance. We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, preferably in a manufacturing environment working on machines. In this role you will perform a variety of maintenance operations: installing, repairing, and maintaining production machines and related equipment. Must be able to operate drill press, sanders, grinders, band saws, electric drills, circular saws, and related equipment and hand tools. An understanding of electrical and mechanical principles would be helpful.
Requirements
- Must be able to operate drill press, sanders, grinders, band saws, electric drills, circular saws, and related equipment and hand tools.
- Proficiency in CMMS software for maintenance management.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and ability to use an ohmmeter effectively.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various equipment issues.
- Fluency in English for effective communication within the team and documentation purposes.
Nice To Haves
- An understanding of electrical and mechanical principles would be helpful.
- Candidate should possess the ability to perform mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and fluidic repairs to machinery.
- Any PLC programming, CAD software, electrical troubleshooting, or metrology experience a great plus!
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including the use of an ohmmeter.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Execute welding tasks as required for repairs or modifications.
- Assist with painting projects as part of facility upkeep.
- Work with logic controllers to troubleshoot and repair automated systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
