About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair warehouse vehicles and equipment, including forklifts, trailers, conveyors, maintenance equipment, and other powered equipment. The role provides mechanical support through diagnosis and repair, preventive maintenance, major repairs, and accident repairs. It also covers general building and facility maintenance, including water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical systems.

The position is onsite and is listed for the first shift, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, with pay of $30.00–$35.00 per hour. The mechanic schedules and completes maintenance work, supports equipment and vehicle reliability, manages parts inventory, maintains a clean work area, completes required reports, and responds to security or alarm calls as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a Department of Transportation exam.
• Pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• 2+ years of previous facility maintenance experience.
• 6 months of related experience.
• 2–5 years of equipment maintenance experience.
• 1 year of fleet experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily maintenance work.
• Perform repairs on forklifts, conveyors, maintenance equipment, trailers, and other warehouse power equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure service reliability.
• Review pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms to identify immediate maintenance requirements.
• Ensure internally and externally performed maintenance meets company standards.
• Monitor vehicle condition and performance to ensure compliance with company driving policies.
• Manage parts inventory at an economical level to support efficient operations.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Maintain HVAC systems.
• Perform minor water and electrical repairs as needed.
• Perform general maintenance and carpentry on floors, walls, doors, and other facility components.
• Ensure safety equipment is in proper working order.
• Complete required reports when maintenance tasks are completed.
• Respond to security and alarm calls as needed.
