Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings, manuals, and written instructions.
  • Solid computer skills, including the ability to complete digital work orders and computer-based training.
  • Good math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and take direction from supervision.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders and stairs, work at heights, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous chemical plant experience or knowledge of chemical hazards.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with SAP, including SAP S/4HANA maintenance systems.
  • Completion of related vocational or technical school programs or certifications.
  • Welding and fabrication experience and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, dismantle, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair process equipment, piping, rotating equipment, and structural steel in accordance with specifications.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to improve equipment integrity, reliability, cost efficiency, and on-stream performance.
  • Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security policies while proactively identifying and mitigating workplace hazards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and corrective repairs on processing equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Accurately complete time sheets, shop paperwork, digital work orders, alignment records, and required entries in the SAP maintenance system.
  • Operate and inspect mobile equipment such as electric utility carts, forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulating boom lifts.
  • Interpret plans, drawings, specifications, manuals, and work orders to determine work scope and repair or installation sequences.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and communicate job status effectively with the Work Coordinator and supervision.
  • Safely work at heights, on elevated catwalks, and in confined spaces as required to perform daily duties.
