The Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical and electrical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and production equipment. This is a swing shift position, working from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and requires working weekends and holidays as needed. The role involves observing mechanical devices, listening for issues, dismantling equipment to access and repair/replace defective parts, and testing equipment to meet performance specifications. The mechanic will also set up and operate metalworking tools, sharpen tools, repair electrical equipment with motors, and follow plant food safety policies and environmental and safety guidelines.
