Job Summary : Drives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties: Essential Functions : Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area. Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device. Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed. Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules. Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device. Lubricates truck, recharges/changes batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank. May be assigned work in Subzero freezer area with proper company PPE provided. Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices. Additional Responsibilities: Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned. Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices. Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.

Requirements

Three to six months experience driving forklifts.
Must be forklift certified, or able to become forklift certified.
Ability to safely operate powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.
Compliance with all Trident policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee moves objects regularly up to 10 pounds frequently up to 25 pounds occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception

Nice To Haves

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
