About The Position

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic (Manufacturing) to join our federal team at our York, PA Grantley Plant location. Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical production equipment and material handling systems within the plant. Supporting the setting up of newly purchased or relocated equipment, diagnosing malfunctions, and performing general maintenance tasks. Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain the following certifications: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, ESD, Fall Protection, Man lift Training, Forklift Training

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5 years of manufacturing machine maintenance experience
  • 2-5 years of basic knowledge of electromechanical systems

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical production equipment and material handling systems within the plant
  • Supporting the setup of newly purchased or relocated equipment, diagnosing malfunctions, and performing general maintenance tasks
  • Reassemble, test, and verify equipment under operating conditions
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments and electrical/electronic testing equipment
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, bending equipment, ladders, scaffolding, and material handling devices safely
  • Assist with installation of new or relocated equipment
  • Work from work orders, drawings, schedules, diagrams, manufacturer manuals, and instructions
  • Dismantle machines, install on prepared foundations, shim, level, and secure equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic malfunctions
  • Disassemble and replace parts such as bearings, gears, shafts, and other components
  • Fit bearings, spindles, ways, and slides; align shafts; check clearances and operational freedom
  • Reassemble and test equipment to verify repairs
  • Perform minor electrical repairs on material handling equipment
  • Service and repair of overhead cranes, jib cranes, and CNC machine components
  • Install racks and complete various plant projects as needed
  • Arrange for fabrication of repair parts through other departments
  • Conduct PMs on equipment and machines such as vacuum pumps and filters
