About The Position

Darigold is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join its Sunnyside team. The role maintains and repairs plant machinery and equipment and assists with special projects, including fabrication and sanitary welding. The position requires availability to work any shift, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance or related experience.
• Proven sanitary welding experience.
• Proven stainless steel fabrication and welding skills.
• Experience maintaining and repairing rotating machinery.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical motors and controls.
• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and boilers.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to interpret P&ID, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
• Understanding and experience with preventive maintenance.
• Ability to plan, organize, and maintain equipment and records.
• Understanding and working knowledge of CMMS systems and work orders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong team player.
• Availability to work any shift, including nights and weekends.

• Formal education in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plant equipment and machinery.
• Assist with special projects, including fabrication and sanitary welding.
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, rotating machinery, electrical motors and controls, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Work with ammonia refrigeration systems and boilers.
• Interpret P&ID, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain equipment and records.
• Use CMMS systems and work orders.
• Manage multiple priorities and communicate and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Be available to work any shift, including nights and weekends.
