About The Position

Darigold is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join its Sunnyside team in the whey plant. The role maintains and repairs plant machinery and equipment and assists with special projects, including fabrication and sanitary welding. The position requires availability to work any shift, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Three to five years of manufacturing maintenance or related experience.
• Proven sanitary welding experience.
• Proven stainless steel fabrication and welding skills.
• Experience maintaining and repairing rotating machinery.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair production equipment, electrical motors and controls, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Working knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and boilers.
• Ability to interpret P&ID, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
• Understanding and experience with preventive maintenance.
• Ability to plan, organize, and maintain equipment and records.
• Understanding and working knowledge of CMMS systems and work orders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Must be available to work any shift, including nights and weekends.
