About The Position

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience; strong mechanical and industrial skills.
  • Comply with the HSEQ Policy.
  • Comply with Regulations, Legal and Internal Requirements as made known by the site and by the business unit (BU).
  • Comply with the rules of the specific location to which one is assigned as well as the rules set by the business unit (BU) and Arkema Inc.
  • Comply with all standard procedures and work instructions, aka SP, SOP, PWI, TM, to ensure productivity, quality assurance and cost effectiveness.
  • Review their work areas for potential losses and Report hazards to the direct supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair pumps, agitators, gearboxes, piping systems, valves, mechanical seals, and rotating equipment.
  • Perform precision alignment, bearing replacement, lubrication, and equipment overhauls.
  • Execute planned and emergency repairs to restore equipment reliability and production capability.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts, and specialized maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities in accordance with site maintenance strategies and procedures.
  • Inspect equipment and identify developing failure modes before breakdowns occur.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment history within the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Support predictive maintenance activities such as vibration monitoring, lubrication programs, and condition-based inspections.
  • Diagnose mechanical equipment failures and determine corrective actions.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical recommendations to improve equipment reliability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
  • Assist in maintenance planning and work package development.
  • Review and provide feedback on maintenance procedures and job plans.
  • Support spare parts identification, inventory management, and procurement activities.
  • Utilize computer systems to create work requests, document completed work, and initiate purchase requisitions.
  • Perform all work in compliance with HES requirements, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in safety meetings, audits, inspections, and improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and support less experienced maintenance personnel.
  • Serve on site teams and committees as required.
