About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a facility’s equipment, systems, and physical infrastructure. This role involves performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing preventive maintenance tasks, and responding to repair requests to minimize downtime. Maintenance Technicians work closely with operations teams to support production goals, maintain compliance with safety standards, and keep equipment in optimal working condition. Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical school or vocational training
  • Effective communication with operators, supervisors, and vendors
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

  • Preventive and predictive maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements to prevent equipment failures.
  • Identify root causes of equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools, manuals, and technical knowledge.
  • Fix or replace defective mechanical components such as bearings, belts, gears, pumps, and motors.
  • Ensure machines operate safely and efficiently to support continuous production or facility operations.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals to guide repairs and installations.
  • Assemble, align, and calibrate new machinery or mechanical systems.
  • Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify potential hazards.
  • Track parts usage, request replacements, and ensure tools are in proper working condition.
  • Record repairs, parts used, downtime, and maintenance history in logs or CMMS systems.
  • Communicate equipment status, coordinate repairs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
