About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic is a key hands‑on role responsible for maintaining the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment. This position combines proactive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and strong ownership of day‑to‑day performance to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Requirements

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
  • Complete high-quality repairs
  • Document work in the CMMS
  • Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks on schedule
  • Follow detailed work instructions, safety procedures, and LOTO requirements
  • Identify hazards
  • Communicate equipment status, repair needs, and follow-up actions clearly across shifts and with Operations
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, MRO, and Supply Chain
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues, recommending solutions, and participating in equipment upgrades or reliability initiatives
  • Pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check

Responsibilities

  • Support the installation, commissioning, functional testing, and startup of new production equipment.
  • Review equipment drawings, manuals, and specifications to understand system design and long‑term maintenance needs before production begins.
  • Assist in developing preventive maintenance plans, procedures, and parts lists for new assets as they come online.
  • Participate in equipment acceptance testing and troubleshooting during early production trials to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
  • Identify potential reliability risks during qualification and provide feedback to Engineering and Operations to improve equipment readiness.
  • Help organize spare parts, tooling, and maintenance work areas to support a smooth transition from construction to full production.
  • Document equipment performance, start‑up issues, and corrective actions to build a strong maintenance history from day one.
  • Collaborate with contractors, OEM technicians, and internal teams to ensure equipment meets operational expectations.
  • Take ownership of daily maintenance activities to keep production equipment running safely, reliably, and at peak performance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, completing high‑quality repairs and documenting work in the CMMS.
  • Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks on schedule, providing feedback to improve job plans and equipment reliability.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, safety procedures, and LOTO requirements while identifying hazards and contributing to a proactive safety culture.
  • Communicate equipment status, repair needs, and follow‑up actions clearly across shifts and with Operations.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, MRO, and Supply Chain to align maintenance work with production priorities and ensure parts and materials are available.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues, recommending solutions, and participating in equipment upgrades or reliability initiatives.
