About The Position
This is a Mechanic Position for contract and common carrier with a logistics / trucking company location in Houston, TX. Reports to Shop Foreman. Duties and Responsibilities include: Maintaining tractors and trailers; Performing inspections on equipment; Keeping shop areas safe and clean; Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Good communication skills
- Air brake certified
- Must have own tools
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of experience in maintenance and repair
- Tank experience
- CDL with HAZMAT & Tank Endorsements
- Knowledge of newer diesel and emission treatment systems
- Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Preferred)
- Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
