About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic supports operations, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment and systems at assigned facilities. The role assists Mobile Engineers (HVAC/R) and Control Systems Technicians with maintenance and repair work, and independently performs defined tasks. The employee must be available on call for after-hours emergencies and comply with policies governing the safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials. The position is on-site in Akron or Canton, Ohio. JLL provides the tools required to perform the assigned work. Visa sponsorship is not provided; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Requirements

Valid state driver's license that the candidate can maintain.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and drive.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an applicable technical training program.
At least one year of applicable experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.

Responsibilities

Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
Assist the operations team with maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment.
Perform general interior maintenance, including HVAC/R and evaporator coil cleaning and kitchen equipment maintenance.
Perform minor plumbing repairs.
Complete assigned special tasks, including painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance.
Be on call for after-hours emergencies.
Follow policies for the safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials.
