The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for planning, executing, and following up on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs. This role requires PLC and troubleshooting abilities, along with experience in 480-volt, 3-phase electrical work, including running conduit. Responsibilities include oiling, greasing, and performing general preventative maintenance. The mechanic will also diagnose and repair diesel engines (medium and heavy-duty trucks, equipment, etc.), perform maintenance and repairs on forklifts (propane, diesel, and electric), troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, and perform routine preventative maintenance on all equipment. Additionally, the role involves maintaining and repairing plant machinery and production equipment, handling general facility maintenance (lighting, electrical, air systems), responding quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime, and keeping accurate records of repairs, parts, and maintenance schedules. The position also requires adherence to all safety procedures and company policies, and may involve general facilities duties such as shoveling snow and changing light bulbs. Other duties as assigned.
