About The Position
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled production equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role also assists with maintenance projects, equipment improvements, and supporting other team members as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for the entire shift
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Basic proficiency with tablet-based software systems
- Ability to operate lifts and forklifts as needed
- Ability to pass an entry-level maintenance assessment
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC production equipment
- Assist with maintenance projects and task-based assignments
- Support maintenance team operations and provide backup assistance when needed
- Utilize CMMS software and tablet-based maintenance systems
- Operate forklifts, lifts, and other equipment as required
- Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards
- Participate in company-sponsored technical and computer-based training programs
