About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining large industrial textile processing equipment, as well as facility maintenance. Tasks include start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, maintaining and operating boilers, welding and cutting, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and other systems. This role assists the Maintenance Manager with all plant maintenance operations, ensuring that plant premises and equipment are kept in safe and clean condition. The mechanic will also assist in building a maintenance program that optimizes the plant’s uptime, considers costs, and satisfies all industry regulations and OSHA guidelines. The position requires the ability to complete PMs, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment and document the work done without direct supervision. Monitoring equipment for proper working order and collaborating with management on repairs or replacements is essential. The role also involves monitoring boilers and associated equipment, assisting outside contractors, and applying general plumbing and HVAC skills. Compliance with company policies, maintaining a clean work area, and operating a forklift are also part of the responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience required.

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • 2nd Class B Boilers Operator License preferred.

Responsibilities
