About The Position

This position is responsible for operating and maintaining the boiler plant, air compressors, breathing air compressors and their associated dryers and purifiers, and an adiabatic cooling tower. The role also provides piping-service support, including piping installation, welding, troubleshooting, and repair of yard water, sewer, steam condensate, and plumbing systems. The position includes operation of the boiler plant and air compressors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• State of Maine boiler operator's license (Grade C).
• 4th Class, Grade B license.
• 5–10 years’ experience in industrial/commercial plumbing, pipefitting, boiler operation, waste disposal, and potable water systems.
• Familiarity with IBC codes.
• Demonstrated ability to work with steam, condensate, water, and sewer systems.
• Knowledge of steam distribution and condensate recovery systems.
• Working knowledge and experience operating and maintaining gas/oil-fired boilers, air compressors, and air dryers.

Nice To Haves

• 3rd Class, Grade A license.
• 2nd Class, Grade AA license.
• Maine State plumbing license.
