About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair warehouse vehicles and equipment, including forklifts, trailers, conveyors, maintenance equipment, and other power equipment. The role provides mechanical support for a dedicated delivery system, including diagnosis and resolution of problems, preventive maintenance, major repairs, and accident repairs. It also includes general building and facilities maintenance involving water, heating, air conditioning, and electrical systems.

The position is on the first shift, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with pay of $30.00–$35.00 per hour. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, passing a Department of Transportation exam and a mechanical aptitude test, and relevant facility, equipment, and fleet maintenance experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a Department of Transportation exam.
• Pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• 2+ years of previous facility maintenance experience.
• 6 months of related experience.
• 2–5 years of equipment maintenance experience.
• 1 year of fleet experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily maintenance work.
• Repair forklifts, conveyors, maintenance equipment, trailers, and other warehouse power equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure service reliability.
• Review pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms and identify immediate maintenance requirements.
• Ensure maintenance work performed internally or externally meets company standards.
• Monitor vehicle condition and performance to support compliance with company driving policies.
• Manage parts inventory at an economical level to support efficient operations.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Maintain HVAC systems and perform minor water and electrical repairs.
• Perform general maintenance and carpentry on floors, walls, doors, and other facility components.
• Ensure safety equipment is in proper working order.
• Complete required reports after maintenance tasks are completed.
• Respond to security and alarm calls as needed.
