About The Position
Seneca Foods in Geneva, NY is currently seeking a First Shift Mechanic to join our team. The work schedule will be "alphabet" consisting of 12-hour work shifts varying days throughout the week. Initial training will possibly consist of a "traditional" work schedule (Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts). Requirements
- Ability to weld.
- Capable of making quick decisions.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Daily maintenance of production line equipment.
- Overhaul, repair, and maintain pumps, gear boxes, conveyors and electrical motors.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery as needed.
- Maintain repair logs.
- Maintain proper housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.
