About The Position

Sika is seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics to join its growing Roofing business team in the Canton, Massachusetts area. Positions are available across all shifts, with differential pay of 10% for 12-hour day shifts and 20% for 12-hour night shifts. The Maintenance Mechanic performs general facility maintenance during their shift and reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. The role covers office and manufacturing maintenance, including work on heavy production machinery, and requires attention to quality, safety, and environmental considerations.

Requirements

• High school degree.
• At least 5 years of industrial mechanical experience in a production environment.
• Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
• Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders and controls.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift certification.
• Extrusion and sheet line experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general office and manufacturing facility maintenance during the assigned shift.
• Lubricate and change oil in heavy production machinery.
• Repair or replace bearings, gear-heads, belts, chains, conveyors, filters, and related components.
• Modify existing structural components to comply with safety regulations or meet cost-saving measures.
• Perform duties while maintaining high quality and considering Environment, Health & Safety.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the manager.
