About The Position
Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the flight ramp in Berkley, MO! The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid fundamental understanding of various Mechanical competencies to include: Mechanic Machine Repair, Maintenance Mechanic All-Around, Mechanic Automotive, and Facility Maintenance.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in Production Equipment Maintenance
- 1+ years of experience in Ground Support Equipment Maintenance
- 1+ years of experience working independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
- An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required
Nice To Haves
- Experience specific to Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
- Forklift Certified
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining aviation ground support equipment.
- Perform daily inspections and complete associated paperwork.
- Maintain maintenance periodic inspection plan and perform tasks to plan.
- Assist in maintaining, rebuild, repair, service, assemble, diagnose and correct malfunctions in automotive, transportation equipment, battery operated motive equipment, cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers) and internal combustion engines.
- Maintain facility cleanliness by using powered and un-powered cleaning equipment.
- Assist in maintaining inventory control of automotive fleet of trucks.
- Operate and maintain inspection of the fleet.
- Assist in maintaining inventory control of support equipment.
- Maintain support equipment facility.
- Assist in planning and performing unusual and difficult work where standard or recognized inspection methods may not be available.
- Assist in performing a sequence of operations where standard methods may not be available.
- Care and judgment to fit and adjust parts and assemblies to requirements and specifications.
- Assist in performing a sequence of operations where standard methods may or may not be available.
- Considerable judgment necessary to perform complicated operations.
