About The Position

Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to work in our air-conditioned facility. The role will require at least 3 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 1 of those spent in a maintenance or machine building role. This opportunity will require a current electrician license. If you do not have your license, Flexco will give you 24 months to complete! Maintenance Mechanics at Flexco can expect starting compensation of between $31.00 - $39.00 per hour, or more, depending on experience, skills and education. Requirements

  • Must have an electrician license or willingness to obtain one in the first 24 months.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, including millwright-level mechanical work
  • 1+ years in a maintenance or machine building role
  • Proficiency in welding
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance, including understanding, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and application of proper electrical wiring methods and techniques.
  • Ability to apply advanced trade mathematics and interpret complex technical drawings, prints, and manuals.
  • Comfort working in a role that requires kneeling, crawling, and stooping.
  • Exposure to oil, grease, loud noises and extreme temperature variations.
  • Upon hire, other safety certifications will be required

Responsibilities

  • Repair production and plant equipment, tear down, determine extent of repairs, replace worn or defective parts, reassemble, and make operating adjustments.
  • Maintain building and facilities: perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, sheet metal, and air piping work necessary to make repairs.
  • Keep accurate records using current PM software
  • Fabricate items such as equipment guards and supports.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance duties as assigned (i.e. demand and planned).
  • Order supplies and materials as necessary.
  • Assist with replacement or installation of facility equipment working with outside contractors.
  • Install and relocate manufacturing equipment.
  • Prepare for machine installations and/or removal.
  • Clean and replace motors and pumps, install power lines, troubleshoot, and repair electric or electronic controls and lighting circuits.
  • Assist with facility technician responsibilities as needed.
