Requirements

  • Ability to legally work in the United States
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment strongly preferred.
  • Possess basic plumbing, metalworking, and general facilities/ building maintenance welding, machining, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, drafting, and blueprint reading knowledge.
  • General mechanical skills and knowledge related to troubleshooting and service of various equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical School graduate preferred
  • Proficiency with PLC strongly preferred (Allen Bradley Programming).

Responsibilities

  • Ensures operations of plant machinery utilizing both electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot equipment and by completing preventive maintenance requirements: controls downtime by ascertaining needed repairs and parts replacement and completing repairs in timely fashion.
  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by informing production workers of routine techniques, answering questions, and responding to inquiries.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and updating certified skill levels.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Share knowledge of applicable mechanical concepts/ principles with other maintenance personnel.
  • Read equipment manuals, blueprints, and other sources of information to build knowledge, and assure appropriate operation and repair of equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with outside vendors and equipment manufacturers.
  • Inform the appropriate facility personnel/supervisor of any modifications or system malfunctions.
  • All other duties as assigned.
