About The Position

Milkco is seeking a first-shift Maintenance Mechanic to provide on-site maintenance and repair for all aspects of its fluid milk plant. The role includes maintenance and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic systems, including packaging equipment, conveyors, and production machinery. The mechanic orders and installs new and replacement components, performs other general maintenance as directed, and communicates effectively with management, including offering proactive suggestions for continuous improvement. Machine-specific training is provided because the equipment is specialized. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with some weekend work required. Milkco processes, bottles, and ships fluid milk, juice, tea, and eggnog. The company was established in 1982 and has grown from 50 employees to more than 250. It describes the work as steady and stable, with opportunities to learn, grow, and advance. Employment requires passing a company-provided pre-employment drug screening, a criminal background check, and an E-Verify screening. The position requires standing at least 7½ hours per day and lifting at least 40 pounds. Extended periods of overhead lifting, kneeling, bending, stooping, climbing, and related movements may also be required.

Requirements

Some electrical experience.
Background in general maintenance and repair is identified as ideal.
Must want to work and have excellent attendance.
Must be cooperative and able to get along with a lot of people.
Must be a team player who can contribute in a team atmosphere.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and E-Verify screening.
Must be able to stand at least 7½ hours per day.
Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
Must be able to perform extended periods of overhead lifting, kneeling, bending, stooping, climbing, and related movements as required.
