About The Position

As a Maintenance Mechanic at JLL, you'll play a vital role in supporting the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment across assigned facilities. This hands-on position involves performing preventive maintenance, responding to repair work orders, and conducting facility inspections to ensure optimal building performance and client satisfaction. You'll work both independently on defined tasks and alongside experienced engineers on more complex maintenance and repair efforts. From interior repairs like patching and painting to maintaining HVAC systems and replacing lighting, you'll help keep facilities running smoothly while ensuring safe, comfortable environments for occupants. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance, mechanical systems, or construction-related trades
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, basic electrical work, and plumbing fundamentals
  • Construction knowledge including carpentry, painting, and general building repairs
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Valid state driver's license with ability to maintain licensure
  • Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 feet, with frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as Corrigo
  • OSHA safety training and relevant certifications
  • Experience working in commercial office buildings or multi-tenant facilities
  • Technical certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or construction trades
  • Experience with fire panel systems and building automation controls

Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing preventive and corrective maintenance work orders on mechanical systems, electrical components, plumbing fixtures, and other building equipment
  • Conduct facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that impact client occupancy and operations
  • Complete general interior maintenance including patching, painting rooms with a professional appearance, repairing doors, and performing carpentry work
  • Replace lighting and ballasts, clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts, and assist the engineering team with building equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Move machinery, equipment, and materials as requested, including inventory management and material handling tasks
  • Update work order status in real-time using CMMS systems such as Corrigo, escalating problems or issues to management in a timely manner
  • Maintain compliance with all safety procedures, complete hazard assessments, and comply with State, County, or City ordinances, codes, and laws
