About The Position

Sika is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join its growing team in the Canton, MA area for our Roofing business. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for general facility maintenance on their shift and will report directly to the maintenance Manager. This role involves general office and manufacturing maintenance, lubrication/oil changing of heavy production machinery, and repairing/replacing various mechanical components. The position also includes modifying existing structural components to comply with safety regulations and cost-saving measures, performing all duties while maintaining high quality with a focus on Environment, Health & Safety, and other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

High School Degree
5 + years of experience industrial mechanical experience in a production environment
Familiarity with environmental, health & safety regulations
Must possess good mechanical aptitude and be able to analyze and troubleshoot problems.
Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders and controls

Nice To Haves

Prior forklift certification a plus
Extrusion and sheet line experience a plus

Responsibilities

General office and manufacturing maintenance
Lubrication / oil changing of heavy production machinery
Repair / replace bearings, gear-heads, belts, chains, conveyors, filters, etc.
Modify existing structural components to comply with safety regulations, cost savings measures as required
Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment, Health & Safety
Other tasks as assigned by manager
