About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, repairing the physical structure of the establishment, and executing daily maintenance work order activities efficiently. The mechanic will also assist with parts procurement, interpret technical drawings, and troubleshoot machine malfunctions in collaboration with supervision and production teams. The position requires a proactive approach with a sense of urgency and the ability to perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Two-year technical associate degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years-experience providing process and/or engineering support in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in team environment with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Amenable to additional training and/or instruction

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance as required.
• Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.
• Present a sense of urgency.
• Execute daily maintenance work order activities and priorities in the most efficient manner possible.
• Assist with the procurement of replacement and spare parts.
• Read and interpret mechanical and/or electrical schematic drawings, sketches, manuals and specifications.
• Work closely with supervision and production to troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
