About The Position

As a Maintenance Mechanic at JLL, you will play a critical role in preserving and optimizing the physical assets of our client's industrial manufacturing facility. This hands-on position combines technical expertise with proactive maintenance strategies to ensure building systems and manufacturing equipment operate at peak performance. You'll work closely with Facility and Operations Managers to troubleshoot complex mechanical and HVAC systems, execute preventive maintenance programs, and respond to equipment failures with speed and precision. Your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency, safety compliance, and the reliability of critical infrastructure that keeps production running smoothly.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of facility maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC/R systems, mechanical systems, building automation, and industrial equipment (pumps, motors, hydraulics, power systems).
  • Extensive proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting, and communication.
  • Physical capability to safely operate forklifts and aerial lifts; valid licenses required.
  • Strong communication skills, detail-oriented approach, and ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems independently.
  • Understanding of safety protocols, environmental compliance standards, and emergency response procedures.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman certification (desired) in HVAC, Electrical, Machine Repair, or Mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience with controller programs including Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, and Siemens platforms.
  • Familiarity with MAXIMO or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of Grobb equipment and predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermal imaging, oil analysis).
  • Advanced certifications in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical trades beyond Journeyman level.
  • Background in backup generator systems, emergency power operations, and tank farm or bulk fluid handling.
  • Experience with environmental compliance reporting and regulatory documentation in industrial settings.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial HVAC equipment, manufacturing process equipment, and mechanical systems including pumps, motors, hydraulics, bulk fluid systems, and oil mist collectors.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs across building systems; complete work orders within 24-hour turnaround requirements.
  • Operate and maintain tank farm systems with daily monitoring, reporting, and repair functions to ensure fluid handling compliance and safety.
  • Support building automation systems, power systems (normal, emergency, UPS), utility piping, compressed air systems, and backflow preventers.
  • Calibrate gas and water meters; service equipment to maintain accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure safety training compliance, complete safety-related preventive maintenance tasks, and utilize pre-task planning protocols for all maintenance activities.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, maintain forklift and aerial lift licenses, and respond flexibly to emergency maintenance situations.
