Job Summary Clean, inspect, and repair tooling used for plastics manufacturing and prepare for next production run. General mechanical maintenance of various manufacturing equipment including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Modify and/or adjust basic mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems for varied use as required by production. Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic system failures. Operates all types of conventional power tools Lubricates, cleans, paint Sets up and operates lathe, mill, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Drive forklift, arial boom lifts, scissors lifts, and small truck Physical Protection and Monitoring Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Start devices to test their performance. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Arc, gas, tig/mig welding Install new equipment Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area. Performs other duties as assigned including leading projects and participation in project committees
