About The Position

BlackRock Resources is hiring experienced Maintenance Mechanics for a manufacturing client located just outside Las Vegas, Nevada. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining industrial manufacturing and automated packaging equipment, troubleshooting problems, and keeping production lines running. The position involves mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs, as well as supporting facility systems and following food safety, GMP, and manufacturing safety standards. The shift is 2nd or 3rd shift, and the role is direct hire.

Requirements

• Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience maintaining and repairing automated packaging machinery.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and motor controls.
• Ability to safely troubleshoot low- and high-voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Welding and general fabrication skills.
• Understanding of food safety, GMPs, and manufacturing safety practices.
• Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude assessment with a minimum score of 60%.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial manufacturing and automated packaging equipment.
• Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, electrical circuits, and solid-state equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and mechanical drawings.
• Repair and maintain pumps, motors, conveyors, and other production equipment.
• Perform welding, soldering, and general mechanical repairs as needed.
• Support facility systems, including compressed air, steam, hot water, and refrigeration.
• Identify replacement parts and materials needed for equipment repairs.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment while following food safety and GMP standards.
