About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support manufacturing operations within a high-volume vitamin and dietary supplement production facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance with hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automated production equipment. This role is responsible for maintaining production equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations while maintaining compliance with GMP, FDA, OSHA, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or vitamin manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience with industrial equipment.
  • Ability to safely troubleshoot 480V electrical systems.
  • Experience with: Motors and motor controls, VFDs, Sensors, Relays and contactors, PLC troubleshooting, Pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in vitamin, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical manufacturing.
  • Experience with automated packaging equipment.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley preferred).
  • Experience with CMMS systems.
  • Welding/fabrication experience.
  • HVAC, refrigeration, or utility system experience.
  • Knowledge of GMP and FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose equipment failures and perform repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems including: 480V three-phase power, Motors, Contactors, Relays, Sensors, Solenoids, Control panels, Motor starters.
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on PLC-controlled equipment, HMIs, and VFDs.
  • Maintain and repair production and packaging equipment, including: Mixing and blending equipment, Processing equipment, Filling and bottling machines, Packaging equipment, Conveyors, Labeling systems, Inspection equipment, Transfer systems.
  • Perform mechanical repairs including: Bearings, Chains, Belts, Gearboxes, Pumps, Valves, Motors, Pneumatic components.
  • Complete preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential equipment issues before failures occur.
  • Utilize CMMS systems to complete work orders, document repairs, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and improvement projects.
  • Support sanitation activities and maintain equipment according to GMP and food-grade manufacturing standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Communicate effectively with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve equipment issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance work area.
