About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic performs assigned mechanical work to maintain and repair food processing equipment. During the processing season, the mechanic completes repairs to support production goals. During non-production periods, the mechanic overhauls and installs plant equipment so it is ready for the next scheduled production run.

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment throughout the facility.
Troubleshoot, repair, and replace machinery as required.
Ensure processing equipment operates to meet production targets.
Design, fabricate, and install equipment as required.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and preventive maintenance completed.
Monitor equipment operation and make necessary adjustments.
Maintain proper housekeeping.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Operate machinery and tools safely.
Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety rules, and regulations are followed and enforced.
Perform other duties as required or assigned by management.
