About The Position
The Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of duties in and around the hospital complex to insure the safe and efficient operation and repair of all equipment and support systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Familiarity with various types of electrical systems, plumbing, painting, mechanical repair, and general building techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
- Able to perform installation and inspections on electrical components including transformers, circuit breakers, power tools and maintenance/welding equipment
- Excellent time management skills needed
- Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Work involves prolonged standing, heavy lifting, and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching on a daily basis.
- Telephone is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of duties including but not limited to: plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, building maintenance, and repair of patient care equipment
- Complete work order in a timely manner and ensure proper documentation is completed in accordance with DNV standards
- Completes daily route checks by rounding in and around the hospital complex to check for and identify any maintenance issues
- All other related assigned duties
