About The Position

Responsible for installing, maintaining, and modifying site facilities and utilities. The role repairs, troubleshoots, calibrates, and performs preventive maintenance on associated systems and equipment, including process utility equipment. It also maintains equipment used to support manufacturing areas and other parts of the facility in good operating condition, and keeps the work area clean and organized according to production and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing of process utilities according to standards.
Periodically check and inspect equipment to identify repair or preventive-maintenance needs.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems as required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Clean and organize the workplace to maintain operating and safety conditions.
Document all work performed and comply with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) standards.
Provide coverage for other mechanics and helpers within the incumbent’s abilities, including taking daily readings, changing expendable items, and performing other tasks as requested by the maintenance supervisor.
Use critical-thinking skills to determine possible causes of equipment failures.
Communicate potential problems requiring attention and opportunities that may be acted upon to employees and management.
Assume other duties and responsibilities as required.
