As a Maintenance Technician III - Utilities, you will be the primary site resource for maintaining critical utility infrastructure and supporting equipment reliability. This role is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building and process utilities, while also coordinating third-party service providers and building internal knowledge of utility systems to strengthen the site’s ability to support routine utility work. The position requires strong technical skills, safe work habits, and clear communication when reporting equipment status, risks, and follow-up actions. Coordinate and execute routine maintenance of all plant utilities equipment using internal and external resources. Equipment includes high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, ammonia and glycol systems, low- and high-pressure air compressors, reverse osmosis process water systems, wastewater pre-treatment systems, electrical distribution systems, and supporting equipment. Perform preventive maintenance and other proactive activities to monitor, maintain, and improve utility equipment condition. Effectively perform maintenance activities for your area during machine intervention events Verify utilities work is completed properly and provide feedback on procedure improvements needed to continue driving equipment uptime. Participate in overhaul events for equipment in your area of responsibility, including coordinating with vendors, identifying required parts and supplies, and communicating the plan. Coordinate day-to-day support from third-party utility service providers, including scheduling work, escorting contractors, reviewing service reports, and verifying work completion. Partner with vendors during inspections, PMs, repairs, and overhauls to build internal knowledge of utility systems and service requirements. Identify opportunities to improve utility maintenance practices, documentation, and internal troubleshooting capability. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned utility systems and communicate equipment status, risks, and follow-up needs to maintenance leadership. Review utility PMs for accuracy and effectiveness, and recommend improvements based on equipment condition, failures, vendor feedback, and operating history. Track recurring issues, deficiencies, and repair recommendations to closure. Maintain safe, clean, & well-organized work areas Work with site QEHS to supply & maintain equipment data for regulatory permits and compliance requirements Comply with regulatory, Keurig Dr Pepper, & departmental policies, procedures, & standards (especially safety) Assist other maintenance technicians as priorities dictate, time allows, or directed. Identify opportunities for maintenance or process improvement and drive recommendations to implementation or resolution. Complete or assist with special projects as directed Perform other duties as requested by management Administrative and compliance: Maintain accurate SAP records, including work performed, parts used, contractor recommendations, inspection findings, and follow-up actions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, Keurig Dr Pepper, and departmental requirements. Coordinate utility shutdowns, tie-ins, and support for new projects. Help manage contractor performance, work quality, and safety compliance. Provide technical support during emergencies and assist with contingency planning.
