About The Position

One Fine Family is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to serve as the key technical resource for the production maintenance operation. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem resolution of all processing equipment systems. The supervisor will organize and facilitate the maintenance of all plant production equipment to maximize equipment uptime and resolve quality and production-related issues with an emphasis on continuous improvement, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting. The goal is to improve the effectiveness of the maintenance function by driving solutions to reduce equipment downtime. This position involves supervising a crew of four or more employees, managing and reporting on Maintenance KPIs, and overseeing the procurement of parts and services while identifying cost-saving projects. The supervisor will champion technical issues, ensure compliance with company standards (sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, budget), and manage required permits. The role requires proactively seeking production needs and prioritizing work accordingly, along with performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of food manufacturing experience (USDA and SQF preferred)
  • At least 1 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance department with 4 or more employees
  • Strong people and project management skills
  • Ability to solve problems using critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, parts diagrams, and electrical schematic drawings.
  • Must have formal training through prior work experience and/or from a trade school or technical college.
  • Must be "hands-on" and assist in completing maintenance work.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, cold, wet, refrigerated environment.
  • Candidate must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug and background screen.

  • Experience with Lean and 5S programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key technical resource for the production maintenance operation focusing on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution of all processing equipment systems.
  • Organize and facilitate the maintenance of all plant production equipment to maximize equipment uptime and to resolve quality and production related issues with an emphasis on continuous improvement, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Improve the effectiveness of the maintenance function by driving solutions to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Supervise a crew of (4) four or more employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, and directing work, performance evaluation, recognition, and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Manage and report on Maintenance KPIs. Target actions to drive improvements in these areas.
  • Manage procurement of parts and services while identifying and implementing cost savings projects in these areas.
  • Proactively champion technical issues and see them through to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all required permits.
  • Seek out production needs and prioritize own work accordingly.
