About The Position

This position is the advanced level of work in building and grounds maintenance trades. This position will perform general maintenance tasks such as simple construction, repairs to roadways and walks, routine preventative maintenance, heavy janitorial and general services work. This position will devote the bulk of the work time to the actual performance of maintenance and repair tasks. On occasion employees may assign work, examine completed work and provide immediate guidance and assistance to a team of unskilled or semi-skilled employees such as Maintenance Mechanics, patient, and janitorial employees.

Requirements

Eighth grade education.
Four years of experience in any combination of the maintenance trades.
Three years of experience must be in the trades of electricity, plumbing, steam fitting, refrigeration or air conditioning.
Possession of a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.

Experience working in areas of intellectually disabled and forensic populations.
