About The Position

CpK Interior Products Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright (AFTERNOON SHIFT) to support our Maintenance team in cross-functional operational activities. This role is responsible for maintaining, testing and repairing all aspects of equipment, and machinery to increase efficiency, production quality and volume. Millwright should be familiar with a variety of mechanical concepts, practices, and procedures while contributing to SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale) objectives.

Requirements

  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement
  • At least 3 years’ related experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably automotive
  • Strong Mechanical and Assembly Skills
  • Hands on instrumentation troubleshooting an asset
  • Experience with hydraulic systems a definite asset
  • Knowledge of basic electrical theory an asset
  • Basic software knowledge required
  • Good communication skills required
  • Ability to work regularly scheduled overtime as required
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 40lbs using proper lifting techniques and assistive devices
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision
  • Reading, writing and communication in English
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of Machinery installation, assembly, maintenance, service, repair, and overhaul
  • Comprehending blueprints, drawings and specifications manuals
  • Fabricating machine parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up.
  • Start-up and testing, Shutdown operations, Renovating and restoring, Rigging and handling.
  • Centering and setting to elevation, Bearing, seals and packing.
  • Troubleshooting of computer-controlled equipment and application of resolution
  • Stainless steel welding, Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), obtaining Hot Work Tickets
  • Application of Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) techniques
  • Working with Conveyors, Gas plant and shop compressors, Pumps and compressors, Hoists and other lifting devices
  • Operate Grinders, Welding equipment, Gas and air dryers, Heat exchangers, Automated and robotics systems, Electrical and electronic controls, Lathes and other machining tools, Power tools, Fans and blowers, Hydraulic systems, Pneumatic systems as required.
  • Utilization of Power transmission systems, Press brakes and metalworking equipment.
  • Detection of irregularities and malfunctions, Construct foundations for machinery
  • Estimate time and material required and obtain from stores.
  • Installing and adjusting machinery and equipment safely
  • Plan and organize job tasks and job materials using a systemic process.
  • Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication
  • Continuously learning and adapting to changing and new equipment maintenance skills as required
